Sivistysviikon 2026 päätapahtuma: The Power of Nordic Bildung

Pohjoismaista sivistysviikkoa vietetään vuonna 2026 lokakuussa, viikolla 41. Viikon päätapahtumana säätiömme toteuttaa suuren yhteispohjoismaisen sivistyskeskustelun.

Paneelikeskustelu pohjoismaisesta sivistyksestä ja aktiivisesta kansalaisuudesta järjestetään torstaina 8.10.2026 klo 14.00-15.30. Kvs-säätiön ylläpitämässä tiedekeskus Sopessa pidettävä keskustelu on hybriditilaisuus, siihen voi osallistua myös verkossa (Teams-linkki).

The Power of Nordic Bildung. A Hybrid Nordic Panel Discussion on Bildung, Civic Engagement and Lifelong Learning

What does Bildung (sivistys) mean in today’s Nordic societies, and why is it more important than ever?

Join us for an engaging hybrid panel discussion exploring the role of Nordic Bildung in strengthening democracy, participation, wellbeing, and social cohesion. The discussion brings together experts from across the Nordic countries to reflect on how the Nordic tradition of Bildung can help individuals and communities navigate complex societal challenges.

The panel will examine the connections between active citizenship, resilience, lifelong learning, and inclusion, while exploring ways to ensure that everyone has opportunities to participate and thrive throughout their lives. The event is organized as a participatory hybrid panel discussion with speakers joining both on site and online. Participants are encouraged to contribute to the conversation by submitting questions and comments through the Teams chat. Facilitators will curate audience contributions and bring them into the discussion throughout the session.

Whether you are an educator, researcher, policymaker, civil society actor, student, or simply interested in the future of democratic participation and learning, this event offers an opportunity to exchange perspectives and learn from Nordic experiences.

Sivistysviikko

Pohjoismainen sivistysviikko tulee korvaamaan kotimaisen Sivistysviikko-tapahtuman. Kotimainen Sivistysviikko-tapahtuma järjestettiin ensimmäisen kerran vuonna 2022 Sitran Sivistys+ -​hankkeen yhteydessä. Vuonna 2024 Sivistysviikkoa vietettiin osana Sivistyksen teemavuotta.

Tapahtumaviikon koordinaatiovastuu on kiertänyt vuosittain. Sivistysviikon toteuttaneessa järjestäjäverkossa ovat olleet mukana Kvs-​säätiö (Kansanvalistusseura sr.), Fingo ry, Kansalaisfoorumi, Opintokeskus Sivis, Opintokeskukset ry, Svenska Folkskolans Vänner ja Vapaa Sivistystyö ry.
