Acknowledging Basic Skills. Piloting National Basic Skills Badges
Implementation time: 1.4.2025- 31.3.2027
Project informationThe “Acknowledging Basic Skills” project will pilot national basic skills badges and develop teaching materials for adult basic skills training.
The “Acknowledging Basic Skills” project will pilot national basic skills badges (KAPOS) for adults, created by the Finnish National Board of Education. The project will develop learning materials for teaching basic skills and aims to create uniform practices for awarding them in non formal adult education.
The badges can be used to make visible the basic skills competences required for further studies or in working life, for example. The aim is to embed the labels in the field of lifelong learning.
Read more about the project on the Acknowledging Basic Skills- website (you will be transferred to the coordinators website).
